In 2008, VW revived one of its most legendary model names after a break of morethan 15 years: Scirocco. Unlike its predecessors from the 1970s to the 1990s, the third generation was less of a classic coupé and more of a dynamically styled two-door hatchback. Regardless of this conceptual realignment, the compact-class modelwas well received. Over the course of almost ten years, Volkswagen sold more than 53,000 units in Germany alone. The owner of the example presented here decided toemphasize the sporty character of his Scirocco with a set of Cor.Speed Sports Wheelsand further upgrades.
The car sits on Cor.Speed Kharma wheels, which stand out not only thanks to their intricately refined, asymmetrical design. Due to their production using the flow-forgedprocess, they are also very light weight. The dimensions are 8.5x19 inches, and the matching Continental SportContact 6 tires measure 235/35R19. The silver finish mayappear very classic at first glance, but upon closer inspection it reveals an extravagant highlight in the form of brushed surfaces.
H&R lowering springs provide an additional drop of 35 millimeters. At the rear, adiffuser from Rieger Tuning catches the eye. It perfectly frames the two large tailpipes of the Group A sport exhaust system from Friedrich Motorsport, whichguarantees a powerful, sporty sound.
Breathtaking videos and pictures from Cor.Speed are available on the YouTube channel “Corspeed Sports Wheels” or interactively on the Instagram profile“corspeed.sports.wheels”or the Facebook page “Barracuda Europe Racing Wheels”.The light alloy wheels from the extensive Cor.Speed rim range are available from car dealerships or well-stocked tire and specialist retailers.
