Leider gab es im Qualifikationstraining für den Grand Prix Ceské republiky keine Steigerung für Marcel Schrötter. Ein 18. Platz war ein wenig zufrieden stellendes Ergebnis für das Interwetten Honda 125 Team, denn technische Probleme gab es keine zu beklagen und trotzdem war die Leistung des 17jährigen WM-Rookies eher mangelhaft.
