The professional jury is made up of TV Presenter Bettina Cramer (formerly of Sat. 1 Blitz), TV Producer Rainer Matsutani(Tatort) and Rowan Barnett, Editor in Chief of "The AvaStar", Sabine Hirtes from the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, as well as Tilmann Auer from the Weltbild.de team. Four scripts have made it onto the shortlist for the winning script. Among these are a variety of genres, from big city drama to adventure film.
"We are especially happy that our event-orientated concept has received such positive feedback within the SL community", stated Stefan Mues of the New Media board of directors at Weltbild. "I am convinced that the next phases of the film competition will also have something to offer the Second Life residents".
Weltbild.de will then stage the winning script as a Second Life short film using original scenes from Second Life. Weltbild.de is also planning to hold the first ever virtual avatar casting in November. All Second Life avatars may take part.
