The Opel Mokka GSE is a real heart-racer. The compact, high-performance Opel Mokka GSE sends pulses racing and literally brings rally feeling to the road. And who could be better suited as an ambassador for this hot SUV than someone who is at home in the world of motor racing? None other than Sophia Flörsch! The young test and development driver for the ‘Opel GSE Formula E Team’ not only drives the new Opel GSE 27FE GEN4 racing car, she has also tested her skills in the Mokka GSE Rally and drives the Mokka GSE in her spare time. That is why Sophia Flörsch is the perfect choice for Opel’s new GSE ambassador campaign with the Mokka GSE, in which she sets out to discover the racing DNA of this highly dynamic production electric car. A little hint: she won’t have to look far …
“We promised to bring true rally feeling to the road for our customers with the Mokka GSE – and that’s exactly what Sophia found out when testing it,” said Opel’s Vice President Marketing, Rebecca Reinermann. “Sophia brings the perfect energy. She embodies it, both professionally on the racetrack and in her everyday life in the Mokka GSE. In the various spots, she gives an insight into the Mokka GSE’s motorsport roots – in an exciting, emotional way and at high speed. Because that’s exactly what makes the Mokka GSE stand out.”
“The Mokka GSE and I have one major thing in common: racing DNA! I love cars that promise high performance at first glance. And that’s exactly what the Opel Mokka GSE does. Its design, its performance – every detail promises an adrenaline rush for everyday life. We want to show all this to the public,” said brand ambassador Sophia Flörsch.
Design, power, technology: From the Mokka GSE Rally straight to the series model
This message is reflected in all the campaign videos and reels that Opel is now publishing across its various social media channels: Where do the racing roots of the Mokka GSE – a sports car for everyday use – lie? “It’s quite obvious,” said Flörsch: “Pretty much everywhere!” No wonder, given that the Mokka GSE is closely related to its rally counterpart, the Mokka GSE Rally, which is thrilling spectators in the ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup.
Take its design, for example: GSE at Opel stands for ‘Grand Sport Electric’ and thus for goosebumps, speed and electrifying emotions. Accordingly, the ‘Golden Steering Wheel 2025’2 winner is even sharper and even more emotional than its Mokka siblings. GSE-specific inserts inspired by the rally vehicle adorn the compact electric car on the front apron and at the rear. Safe contact with the road is ensured by the wheel-tyre combination specially developed for the Mokka GSE with aerodynamically optimised 20-inch alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport EV 225/40 R20 tyres. And finally, the yellow and black GSE lettering on the front and sides makes it unmistakably clear that this car is an all-electric vehicle that evokes a unique sense of excitement.
The same applies to the power that the Mokka GSE brings to the road. This, too, is derived directly from the Mokka GSE Rally. With a peak output of 207 kW (281 hp), the serial production electric car is just as powerful as its motorsport counterpart. And with an immediate torque of 345 Newton meters, it accelerates just as uncompromisingly. From a standing start it can reach 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds – and with a top speed of 200 km/h, it is the fastest all-electric serial Opel car to date. This is also down to the lowered chassis, complete with sophisticated technology, as well as all the high-voltage components, which have likewise been carried over from the rally car to the production model.
Sophia Flörsch does not just feel this rally and racing vibe inside the car on the special performance seats. She – just like all other Mokka GSE drivers – can see it too. The instruments and screens do not just display the usual vehicle information; they also provide details on GSE performance data, G-forces, acceleration values, battery management data and much more.
Opel’s fresh GSE ambassador campaign thus whets the appetite to experience the Mokka GSE’s rally and racing DNA for yourself.
