Four Opel models, a wide range of uses
As the basis for a wide variety of transport and bodywork solutions, the Opel Movano combines generous space with a high degree of flexibility. Depending on the variant, this loading champion amongst Opel’s light commercial vehicles offers a load capacity of up to 17 m³ and a payload of up to 2 tonnes. With its crew cab, the Movano provides space for teams of up to 7 people. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where both people and materials need to be transported together, such as to a building site.
The Opel Vivaro flatbed demonstrates how this commercial all-rounder can be equipped to meet specific requirements in everyday working life. The open load area, accessible from three sides, allows for flexible transport as well as easy loading and unloading of a wide variety of materials, making the Vivaro a reliable partner for demanding tasks. Furthermore, the Vivaro flatbed version is available for the first time in combination with the 110 kW (150 hp) 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
With the Opel Combo Tech, the manufacturer is showing a compact panel van featuring car-like design and specifications. The Combo Tech comes with features such as Intelli-Lux Matrix lighting, a comfort driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Entry&Go and much more as standard. At the same time, it offers up to 3.8 cubic metres of load volume and a load compartment length of up to 3.09 metres. Depending on the engine, it can accommodate work equipment weighing up to almost 650 kilogrammes. In the all-electric version, the payload even increases to up to 780 kilogrammes. This means that the special series offers the same practical van qualities as any other Combo panel van.
The Opel Rocks, measuring just 2.41 metres in length and a mere 1.39 metres in width (excluding wing mirrors), offers a particularly manoeuvrable solution for delivery services. With an electric range of up to 75 kilometres, this extraordinary light motor vehicle allows drivers aged 151 and over in Germany to cruise stylishly through the city – sheltered from the weather, with a glass roof overhead and a top speed of 45 km/h suitable for urban driving. Thanks to the optional Kargo Kit, goods and smaller items can always be transported on the passenger side in an organised, out-of-sight and easily accessible manner.
As well as offering a wide range of vehicle models and sizes, Opel also focuses on a variety of powertrain options for its light commercial vehicles. Depending on their specific needs, customers can choose from a range of alternatives, from efficient internal combustion engines to all-electric models. This means Opel always offers a drive solution that is tailored to the demands of everyday working life and driving performance.
The IAA Transportation starts with the press day on Monday, September 14. The press conference will take place at the Stellantis Pro One booth at 8.20 CEST. The exhibition will be open to trade visitors and the general public from Tuesday, September 15, daily from 9.00 CEST to 6.00 CEST. On the final day, Sunday, September 20, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the comprehensive Opel and Stellantis Pro One portfolio on site and find out more about the various models, bodywork solutions, and powertrain options until 16.00 CEST.
