Commenting on his role, Luciano said, "I am very proud to be invited to be the president of the Design Jury at Cannes Lions this year considering this is the most respectable festival of creativity in the world. It's also a big responsibility since the design category in the festival and the role of design in our society is increasingly expanding. I am sure that together with my friends of the jury we will work hard to award the best of design in the world in 2011."

Dave Senay, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, will lead the 2011 PR Lions jury. Dave is currently transforming the agency to respond to major trends such as converging social media with traditional communication channels and the globalisation of client communication needs.

Commenting on his jury chair role, Dave said, "There is no more prestigious or credible global stage for promoting the excellence of the industry of public relations. I hope to build on the legacy of my predecessors, Tim Bell and Paul Taaffe, to broaden industry participation and deepen understanding and appreciation of the value of public relations in all of its dimensions."

"With the relatively new Cannes Lions categories of PR and Design going from strength to strength we are delighted to have two such outstanding practitioners leading the specialist juries in these categories," comments Philip Thomas, Festival CEO.

Entries can be submitted from 27 January 2011.

President, CEO
Fleishman-Hillard International Communications
USA

During his 30-year career in public relations, Dave Senay has worked across multiple communications practices throughout several regions of the world, and been a driving force in the growth and development of the world's leading communications firm.

Senay, 55, joined Fleishman-Hillard's St. Louis headquarters staff in 1984 as an account executive focused on consumer marketing. In the 27 years since, he has taken on increasing responsibilities, serving at various times as a group leader; as general manager of the St. Louis headquarters office; as regional president for the Midwest, for Canada, and for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also has played a key role in the firm's long-term planning process. He became president and chief executive officer of the firm in July 2006, the third in its 65-year history.

Senay has participated on or led global account teams for major Fleishman-Hillard clients in industries ranging from telecommunications, biotechnology, and information technology to food, healthcare and automotive. He has broad experience in corporate and crisis communications along with consumer marketing, international, public affairs and environmental programs. In his role as CEO, Senay is transforming the agency to respond to major trends such as the convergence of social media with traditional communication channels; the need to integrate communications across paid, earned, shared and owned media; and the growing globalization of client communications needs. His first initiative was to "switch on" the agency by fully infusing social media into the agency's approach to communications, and today, Fleishman-Hillard is widely heralded for its leadership in this growing field.

Senay is an ardent "internationalist". In 2008, he completed two 30-day commitments to the Asia and European regions, symbolically "moving" the agency headquarters to these key regions to underscore the agency's commitment to the global panorama of communications.
