VZ Group changes auditor

Zurich, (lifePR) - VZ Group's Board of Directors decided to mandate PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as their auditor as of next year. VZ has enjoyed a successful cooperation with Ernst & Young since 2000. The upcoming change of Ernst & Young's auditor in charge prompted the Board of Directors to tender the mandate. This also makes sense from the standpoint of good corporate governance, which suggests a periodical reassessment of the auditor.

VZ Group's Board of Directors expects PwC to be an equally qualified and reliable partner as Ernst & Young. If the change is approved by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the Board of Directors will recommend the shareholders to elect PwC as VZ Group's new auditor at the occasion of the next shareholders' meeting on 13 April 2012.
