TOURING ARTISTS: launch of website & symposium - April 18, 2013, RADIALSYSTEM V, Berlin

(lifePR) (Berlin, ) Organised by the Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste (IGBK) and the International Theatre Institute ITI Germany, supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Touring Artists is an online information portal for artists working internationally: Exhibitions and projects abroad or international guest performances are a matter of course today. With an increase in artist mobility, problems with different legal contexts increase as well. Taxation, social security, visas, transport, copyright; there is a need for reliable and easily accessable information on these topics as well as for answers to the question: Where can artists apply for funding and grants for international exchange programmes?

On April 18, 2013 Minister of State Bernd Neumann will present the website www.touring-artists.info. The launch of the website will be accompanied by a symposium. In lectures and panels experts will focus on issues like the granting of visas, subsidy programmes and information services. Participation in the symposium will be free of charge.

For registration please send an email stating full name, institution, address, email and website to symposium@touring-artists.info
