25 000 Paintings is a selection of 25 000 photos taken by amateurs, from family albums or identity photos, found in the flea-markets and antique-shops of Berlin.
After the presentation, last year, of a portion of 25000 Paintings at the French Institute, Berlin, Christophe Berhault will be for the first time projecting the entire piece, that is to say all 72 hours non-stop.
These photos cover roughly a century, from 1890 to1995. They appear in no particular chronological order. Each one appears on screen for 10 seconds.
