ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup 2026: New Benchmark in International Electric Rallying

• Preparations for the ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup 2026 are in full swing

Stronger, more international, more exciting: The start of the 2026 ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup season may still be more than three months away, but it is already becoming apparent that the all-electric one-make rally cup will set new standards in international electric rallying. Thanks to the highly attractive schedule with seven races in six nations, including the traditional Sanremo Rally in Italy, and the season debut of the new Opel Mokka GSE Rally, the interest of numerous rally drivers and teams from all over Europe has been sparked.

Opel's new competition vehicle in the world's first electric one-make rally cup promises Grand Sport Electric in every sense of the word – including goosebumps, speed and electrifying emotions. With a power output of up to 207 kW (281 hp), torque of 345 Newton meters and a perfectly tuned chassis, the powerful electric car offers a highly enjoyable package for the drivers. Proof was provided by a test event organised by Opel Motorsport, where a total of 26 drivers from all over Europe were able to get an impression of the performance of the new all-electric rally racer from Rüsselsheim. Some of them will be involved in the battle for the ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup 2026 title.

The development programme of the Mokka GSE Rally is still going according to plan and will be completed in the spring, with homologation as the first vehicle according to the new eRally5 regulations. Rally teams and drivers can now order the battery-electric rally car with GSE DNA and performance at the level of a Rally4 vehicle at a price of €67,900 (plus VAT). The corresponding order form is available for download here. The delivery of the customer vehicles is scheduled for the second half of April, so that the teams have sufficient preparation time prior to the start of the ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup season at the ELE Rally around Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
