Just last year, Barracuda Racing Wheels made quite an impression at the Essen Motor Show with a spectacular and extraordinary new wheel design: the Tzunamee EVO, which has since become firmly established. And now, the rim specialists are preparing to shake up the market once more with their next triumph: Barracuda Project X from the Ultralight Series will be unveiled for the first time at the Essen Motor Show 2019.
With a size of 10x22" and a high load capacity, the rim is designed first and foremost as an SUV wheel, but is of course also well suited for other heavy vehicles such as luxury sedans. Thanks to the wide range of bolt circles available – from 5x108 through 5x112, 5x114.3 and 5x127 to 5x130 – Project X can also be used in more exotic specimens, such as Jeeps. Despite their ample size, they weigh very little – starting at 16 kg depending on pitch circle and rim offset – thanks to the flow-forming manufacturing process.
Their unique look is created by the five three-dimensionally designed and crossed spokes, along with the eponymous X-shaped, brushed regions on the front. And so, the wheel – which is also concaved by about five centimeters – turns any car into a real showstopper. They are available in the color variants highgloss silver brushed or brushed matte black.
