For M1 certification emission tests (incl. ammonia, formaldehydes and carcinogenes) and odour tests are performed on construction products. The period of time of testing is 28 days. The process of testing and the testing criteria are defined by the Committee Indoor Air Classification (EPT 24) - determined by the president of the Building Information Foundation RTS - and can be found on its webpage www.rakennustieto.fi.
