Deutsche REIT AG (DE0005577001) today has completed the split of its shares by 1:3 as resolved on the Annual General Meeting dated August 29, 2007. Shareholders obtain three new shares instead of one of Deutsche REIT AG. The number of shares held by each shareholder therefore has tripled. According to the capital increase which was resolved in preparation of the share split, the registered and issued share capital amounts today EUR 7,920,000. The par value by share is – as usual – EUR 1.00. The total number of shares is 7,920,000. The new shares are entitled to earnings from the beginning of the financial year 2007.
Deutsche REIT AG expects an increasing interest in its shares by retail and institutional investors due to the reduced share price. The liquidity should also be enhanced by the increase of the number of shares due to the share split.
