The DEAG management board sees continous growth in live entertainment during 2008. In Q1 DEAG presented sell-out tours and shows by Alicia Keys, Neil Young, Riverdance, The Cure, Chris Rea as well as David Garrett, Lang Lang, Jonas Kaufmann and Rolando Villazón.
Due to the positive trend in advance bookings for tours scheduled during this business year with artists such as Katie Melua, Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Amy Winehouse as well as Leonard Cohen, Deep Purple, Chris de Burgh, Foo Fighters and Backstreet Boys, Scooter, Howard Carpendale, Udo Lindenberg and Status Quo plus rising sales in classical music (Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Rolando Villazón) the DEAG management board expects further organic growth in sales and results for 2008. On top there will be more contributions in sales and results thanks to the purchase announced last week of Raymond Gubbay Ltd., Britain's leading classical music promoter.
Berlin's Waldbühne this year is expected to stage its most successful season for the last years just in time for the 30th anniversary of DEAG's subsidiary 'concert concept'. And more than 50.000 tickets have already been sold for the strongest line-up ever of 'Moon and Stars' festival (Locarno, Switzerland), now in its 5th year.
Therefore the DEAG management board expects significantly improved results for the current year.
The complete annual report will be posted at www.deag.de in Mid-April.
