Opel to Combine Sales and Marketing

Leaner organisation leads to fast decisions and increased efficiency

(lifePR) (Rüsselsheim, ) The Head of Opel Sales, Peter Küspert will take over responsibility for Marketing in addition to Sales and Aftersales. The former Head of Marketing, Tina Müller has decided to leave her position effective September 30, in order to pursue new professional opportunities and requested to be released from her existing contract. Opel’s Supervisory Board has given its approval to her request.

“We would like to thank Tina Müller for her excellent efforts to strategically reposition the Opel brand and to improve the brand‘s image. We wish her all the best for her next professional challenge and much success,” said Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller.

“I am pleased and proud about what we as a team have achieved together for the brand. In the last years we have consistently modernised and digitalised the brand and strengthened the willingness to buy. I am sure that Opel, on the basis of the successful strategic positioning and the modernization of the portfolio, will continue to develop positively and represent the first choice for more and more customers. It was a great pleasure for me to work on the redefinition of such an important tradition-rich brand,” explained Müller.

Tina Müller has been working for Opel since August 2013 and before she had worked for almost two decades at Henkel. Peter Küspert is already responsible for Sales and Aftersales at Opel and Vauxhall since November 2013. He was previously Managing Director at Johann Hay Automobiltechnik and spent 19 years at the Daimler AG, including as Head of Business Strategy for the Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and Smart brands, and as Head of Sales and Marketing Germany for the Daimler passenger car brands.
