Well positioned for further growth - Windmöller merges its companies and expands its management level
Both companies already work closely together in many areas. Consequently, this merger is an important, consistent and future-orientated step for the Windmöller family. The declared goal is to bundle resources and achieve synergies which will enable faster, more efficient and effective further growth for the business. Moreover, this merger will simplify internal processes as well as future collaborations with market partners.
Windmöller will continue to focus on achieving international growth, the expansion of global contract business, innovative product and technology development as well as digital transformation. Furthermore, the core competencies of the two locations, Augustdorf and Detmold, will continue to expand. This means that the production site in Detmold which currently manufactures market leading acoustic mats as well as the successful elastic PU organic flooring will continue to focus on the research and development of the polyurethane-based products. The location in Augustdorf will continue to stand for quality and service of the highest level, all under the flooring umbrella brand wineo.
Along with the merging of the companies, Windmöller has also reshuffled its management level. From the 01.01.2018, Matthias Windmöller, Georg Kruse, Ralf Eisermann and Dirk Korn will manage Windmöller GmbH.
Matthias Windmöller (CEO/CSO), as the principle shareholder of the company, is responsible for the management of the marketing, sales and new business development divisions.
Georg Kruse (CTO), former managing director of the WPT, will be responsible for the division of innovation from the 01.01.2018. These responsibilities will include the Laminate-, Design- and PURLINE organic flooring categories as well as polyurethane development. In addition to the technical division Mr. Kruse will also be responsible for product development and application engineering.
Ralf Eisermann (COO) has been on board with the Windmöller family business since October 2016. Beginning in January 2018, he will take over the management of production, technology, purchasing as well as the process and quality assurance management of the flooring and acoustic system manufacturing. These responsibilities include both the Augustdorf and Detmold locations.
Dirk Korn (CFO), has been responsible for the commercial management of the finance, controlling, HR and IT divisions since the 15.11.2017. Mr. Korn is a business administration graduate (MBA from USA) and has been working as a commercial director in internationally orientated companies for over 18 years.
His core competencies include the commercial support of medium-sized organisations in the industry sector, as well as their internationalisation. He will implement his profound know-how in international finance, contracting as well as global corporate development to commercially manage, successfully structure and facilitate the achievement of the Windmöller targets.
The Windmöller Group plans a consolidated group turnover of 160 Million Euro for 2018, with 470 employees.
