Stefan Babsch appointed managing director of STRABAG PFS in Austria
DIW Austria and STRABAG PFS Austria merged

With the merger of STRABAG PFS Austria and DIW Österreich and the appointment of Stefan Babsch as head of international business, STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) is reorganising its business abroad. To this end, the two Austrian companies were merged with one another retroactively as at 1 January 2015. The new STRABAG PFS GmbH, based in Vienna, has around 1,650 employees and generates an annual output of almost EUR 55 million with technical and infrastructural facility management and industrial services, making it one of the leading real estate and industrial service providers in Austria.

The chairman of the management of STRABAG PFS Austria will be Stefan Babsch, who has already acted as Managing Director of DIW Österreich for nine years. As head of STRABAG PFS International, the 51-year-old manager will also be responsible for all foreign markets and in this role he will report directly to the CEO of STRABAG PFS, Dr Jörg Rosdücher. STRABAG PFS is the Number 2 among real estate and industrial service providers in Germany and also operates in Hungary, where it is the market leader, and in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, as well as in Austria. The management of STRABAG PFS Austria will be rounded off by Gabriele Gailhart (55), who was previously a member of the management of DIW Österreich.

"In Stefan Babsch, we have found a service specialist with many years of experience and a manager with a strong network in the Eastern European target countries for our international business. In the medium term, he will particularly develop our business in Austria and Poland and expand our market leadership in Hungary," says Dr Jörg Rosdücher, Chairman of the Management Board of STRABAG PFS.

The industrial service provider DIW, based in Stuttgart, was acquired by STRABAG in the fourth quarter of 2014 and integrated in the STRABAG PFS Group. In contrast to Germany, where the DIW brand will be continued on account of its high level of brand awareness among industrial clients, the decision was made to maintain the STRABAG PFS brand in Austria for the same reason.
