Jet Airways to Commence Direct Flight to London Heathrow and North America via Brussels
Mounts additional flight to London to assist stranded passengers
On April 21, 2010, Jet Airways will also mount an additional flight to/from London from Mumbai, to assist stranded passengers in both cities.
Flight 9W 1120 will depart Mumbai at 2030 hrs, arriving in London at 0200 hrs. Flight 1119 will then depart London at 0400 hrs, arriving in Mumbai at 1725 hrs.
In addition, Jet Airways' flights 9W 118 and 9W 122 today departed for London from Mumbai and Delhi respectively. Flight 9W 120 will depart from Mumbai at 0145 hrs, arriving in London at 0645 hrs, on April 22, 2010.
The resumption of the airline's to London and North America will help stranded passengers travel back home to London, the United States and Canada and onwards to their final destinations.
Post the closure of London Heathrow and Brussels Airports due to the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, Jet Airways hadbeen working closely with the relevant authorities to evaluate the possibility of mounting flights at the earliest to minimise the inconvenience and discomfort to its guests in a difficult situation, which has been beyond the airline's control.
The airline has also announced that it will allow guests to cancel/reschedule their travel plans at no penalty, uptil April 27, 2010, as a gesture of goodwill.
