Sylvie Meyer and Peter Lacher join Management

Bern, (lifePR) - The PostFinance Board of Directors has appointed Sylvie Meyer (1960) and Peter Lacher (1968) as new members of PostFinance Management. Sylvie Meyer will take over as Head of Sales on 1 July, while Peter Lacher will become Head of Production on 1 August. PostFinance is putting its trust in two experienced financial industry specialists as the latest additions to its management.

Frenchborn Sylvie Meyer from Le Mans will become Head of Sales and a member of PostFinance Management on 1 July 2013. She will replace Armin Brun, who took over responsibility for Marketing at the beginning of the year. After studying Applied Linguistics in Nantes, she worked at various distribution companies in both Germany and Switzerland. In 1998, she moved to Swisscom, where she held a number of different positions, including Director of Sales and Marketing for the subsidiary SICAP. Sylvie Meyer has been working for PostFinance for five years. She was most recently in charge of 670 people as Head of the Contact Center. Sylvie Meyer has lived in Switzerland for 19 years and obtained an MBA in Executive Management from the Fribourg School of Management in 2002. She is married and lives in Muntelier (Canton Fribourg). Her hobbies include jogging and windsurfing.

Peter Lacher from Einsiedeln (Canton Schwyz ) will become Head of Production on 1 August 2013. He has been Head of Process Management Processing since 2001, and will now take over from Hansruedi Thönen, who is retiring after over 40 years at Swiss Post. Peter Lacher moved to PostFinance after initially training in the healthcare field. Over the past twenty years, he has held various positions in IT at PostFinance, both in production and as Project Manager. He has been in charge of the Process Management Processing unit since 2001, with 50 employees under his management. As a business school graduate, Peter Lacher went on to obtain a Master of Advanced Studies in Bank Management from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2011. He grew up in Canton Valais and now lives in Thun (Canton Berne). He has three children and enjoys singing in his spare time.
