Organic certified white, red , rosè wines, dessert and sweet wines, sparkling and crackling wines and specialties are allowed to be entered to the international organic wine award 2016. All of them will be assessed individually with regard to its origin, stylistics and authenticity.
As all other WINE System AG awards, the international organic wine award tasting is proceeded according to sensory assessment system PAR, stands for Product-Analysis-Ranking, which considers the sensory overall impact and at the same time differentiates biodynamic wines and wines produced from fungus-resistant varieties, so-called PIWIs.
Each submitted wine is tasted by an independent jury consisting of oenologists, sommeliers and wine experts proofed by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. This system ensures an objective assessment with 100-point-pattern based on comprehensible documentation. Besides attracting attention brought by this top award, many producers appreciate the revealing analyses underlying the PAR assessment. They show exactly which criteria have led to respective results and can be used as valuable documentation for the quality management.
