Since the beginning of March 2010, the HR Group is now also managing the shoe section of V&D's flagship store in Utrecht with an integrated "shop-in-shop" solution plus a separate Esprit and Tamaris section. In August 2009 Mark McKeon, CEO V&D, and Erik Van Heuven, managing director of HR Group, announced a close collaboration when it comes to the management of the shoe sections for the V&D department stores. Mark McKeon: "The top and exclusive brands of the HR Group perfectly complement our existing assortment. Their collections are consistently on trend, with a focus on high quality, consistant & comfortable fit, and affordability." The HR Group is well known for offering a variety of top brands and a wide range of fashion shoes, and yet maintaining competitive prices and tested quality. The German shoe trading company is able to develop shoe concepts suited to sales methods ranging from integrated "shop-in-shop" outlets, such as those in department stores, right through specialised markets both at home and abroad. V&D and the HR Group started a test case in Nijmegen in September 2009 and were exited about the results. For V&D the HR Group came up with an individual solution that fits exactly to target group. V&D targets women in the 30 to 60 age group and their families with an international mix of fashion, home and entertainment products. The shoe trading company created an assortment that was tailor-made for the needs of the shoe section of this V&D department store. "Under this new model, we ensure that each customer realizes an attractive choice of international lifestyle brands and finds the right shoe: fashionable, classic, sporty or simply comfortable", says Erik Van Heuven. In addition to Utrecht more and more shoe sections of V&D are now managed by the HR Group: Enschede, Amersfoort, Amstelveen, Appeldoorn. McKeon and Van Heuven decided on a full roll-out of this shoe concept in all V&D stores during 2010/2011. Both companies are looking for a long-term cooperation in which the parties mutually consider business objectives as worthwhile und accepted challenges.
