Continental's commitment to soccer sponsorship pays off. "Our involvement as an official sponsor has bolstered awareness of our brand and, at the same time, given us the opportunity to present Continental as an attractive employer. Furthermore, with the team sport of soccer as the backdrop, we and the students will be able to discuss the important topic of 'team play'," explained Dr. Konstantin Drozhdin, head of Personnel Marketing and Recruiting at Continental worldwide.
"Teamwork is one of keys to Continental's success. Only by working together in successful teams will our top talents be able to press ahead with the innovations of tomorrow. Teamwork and success go hand in hand at Continental, just like in soccer," emphasized Drozhdin.
With the "Kick it with Continental" activities during the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, Continental aims to attract top talent, inspiring them to make a career with the international automotive supplier. The reason for this is that, assuming the right market development, Continental is planning to up its employee count by around 7,000 in 2014. By the end of 2013, though, the number of employees had already climbed to about 178,000, currently there are around 182,000.
