For example, the pattern on the item of lingerie shown here was inspired by the ornamental, curved lines and sweeping, floral, decorative effects typical of this artistic movement.
A narrow, wavy line meanders over the simple lattice construction of the transparent ground. Masses of flowers bloom under the curved arches, bold, abstract, floral effects appear eve-rywhere, and circles with bold contours seem to rotate across the fabric. The pattern is given structure and brought to life by the mother-of-pearl shimmer in the individual design details and by the different grounds between and inside the motifs. The result is a homage to a ground-breaking artistic movement, which is still enchanting us today.
But the concept behind the Art Nouveau movement is more than one of beauty, it also goes hand in hand with the concept of functionality.
And these briefs meet this requirement perfectly. This is because the processing aspects are incorporated directly into the design, since the styling details for the briefs are cleverly con-cealed behind the flowers and curved patterns, i.e. the outer contours of the motifs also form the edges of the garment, which only requires a few making-up procedures to complete it. The plunging front section needs only a gusset to finish it off, the left side is closed with a seam, and an elastic tape is attached to the body opening - and the transformation from a knitted fabric to a seductive, romantic item of lingerie is complete!
