ZDF Enterprises and Smithsonian Channel Ink Deal for Blue Chip Slate productions

The five pack of films were all created and produced by German filmmakers: Big Bang in Tunguska, The Secrets of the Taj Mahal, North Pole Conspiracy, Stauffenberg: The True Story, and the Secret of Nazca.
1. Big Bang in Tunguska
Has been called "the Russian Roswell" - an explosion 1000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima atomic bomb, happened in Tunguska, Siberia, in June 1908. Scientists have long puzzled over what happened to 830 square miles of forest that were flattened in an instant. New science sheds light on an old mystery.
2. The Secret of Nazca
One of the world's great mysteries indelibly etched into the Peruvian desert, the Nazca Lines are remants of a once great civilization. This documentary incorporates the latest forensic research to show how the patterns were most likely dug to appease the gods and beg them to send rain. The drawings document a change of climate that transformed a once flourishing area into a desert.
3. Secrets of the Taj Mahal
Considered one of the eight Wonders of the World. This architectural masterpiece is the largest building ever dedicated to love. This documentary explores the story behind Mumtaz Mahal, beloved wife of Shah Jahan and the period from 1632-1653 when the famed dome structure was built.
4. North Pole Conspiracy
An epic story of the dramatic race to be the first person to reach the North Pole. Two Americans, Commander Robert E. Peary and Frederick A. Cook, each claimed to have reached the North Pole first. But was there ever any proof either man reached his goal? This film brings new evidence to the discussion, and uncovers a story rich in intrigue.
5. Stauffenberg: The True Story (wt)
The story of the man behind the attempt to assassinate Hitler and the subject of Tom Cruise's "Valkyrie" movie. Filled with unique first-hand accounts of the day the war almost changed its course. But for a twist of fate, the bomb Claus von Stauffenberg placed at Hitler's headquarters could have put an end to the war and the genocide.
