Management at Feldegg made the decision to adopt a more environmentally approach to print production back in 1989, and ISO 14001 accreditation followed in 1997. Feldegg, which has a payroll of around 30, made the transition to digital offset with a waterless 74 Karat in 2000. Four years later the company replaced this press with a coater version of the same model. In 2005 this was joined by a Genius 52, which like the 74 Karat features waterless, keyless Gravuflow inking units. The purpose of this investment was to achieve a long-term reduction in emissions and the consumption of resources during print production. Feldegg also has FSC-COC certification and converted its vehicle fleet to environmentally friendly hybrid drives in 2004. Its customer base includes banks, insurance companies and many others who value sustainable print production.
