Above all, Frank Krüger’s depictions of his home island of Mallorca, his travels as well as his oil portraits of celebrated personalities have brought him fame. The list of stars he has captured in portraits ranges from George Clooney and Tom Hanks through to Claudia Pechstein and Rudi Völler, and even includes Sean Connery and Michael Douglas. Frank Krüger’s works are distinguished by their bright and vibrant colours and, along with their exceptional expressiveness, they have motivated purchases by fascinated art lovers from around the world. Recently, Frank Krüger has not only been working with oil on canvas, leaf gold, leaf silver and copper. He has begun using aluminium as a basis for his work. The 3mm thick aluminium that he uses is manufactured in Valencia specifically for him. Through further treatment, his finished pieces are ideal for being displayed outdoors (gardens, lounges, pool area and terraces). Art prints of his pieces are available in both of his Mallorca galleries in Cala Ratjada and in Palma. The modern and welcoming two-storey gallery he opened in 2013 in the heart of Palma at Costa Brossa 3 has been a great success.
