C-QUADRAT increases Core Fee Generating Assets in Q1 2008

Despite difficult market conditions, C-QUADRAT Investment AG (ISIN AT0000613005) increased its Core Fee Generating Assets further in the first quarter of 2008. Its Core Fee Generating Assets include assets in its Asset Management, Brokerage and Alternative Investments segments. These areas of operation represent the company s core segments. In total, Core Fee Generating Assets were increased by 1% from EUR 4.2 billion to EUR 4.3 billion.

Volume in the Non Core Fee Generating Assets segment fell declined EUR 0.6 billion to EUR 0.4 billion. The decline was primarily attributable to the sale of a subsidiary in the company s non-licensed broker segment.

As at 31 March 2008, the company s Total Fee Generating Assets amounted to EUR 4.7 billion (EUR 4.9 billion as at 31 December 2007). "We are very pleased that we have succeeded in expanding our Core Fee Generating Assets in the first quarter despite being faced with extremely difficult market conditions. The most gratifying aspect is that our core asset management segment bucked the trend and achieved strong organic growth.
