The Supervisory Board of Opel Automobile GmbH has appointed Anke Felder as new Managing Director Personnel and Labour Director. She will take up her new position on May 1 and succeeds Ulrich Schumacher, who left the post on February 28 for personal reasons.
Anke Felder has worked for many years in leading human resources positions of German technology and mechanical engineering companies with global presence. She gained international experience in dealing with different cultures in Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, Latin America and the USA, where she lived for five years. The focus of her work is the strategic transformation of organizations, talent and organizational development as well as labour relations – always with the aim of strengthening the company as a brand and of supporting an improved performance.
Anke Felder is currently Vice President Total Rewards at GEA Group, Düsseldorf, and in this position responsible for all compensation matters, the HR (human resources) strategy and HR operations. She was previously Vice President Human Resources North and Latin America at the public-listed company, based in Columbia/Maryland. From 2007 to 2015, the lawyer worked for Thyssenkrupp with regional and global responsibilities, most recently as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for North America. In this position she was member of the Executive Board.
