(lifepr) (Leipzig, 17.12.2021) The Christmas streaming gifts from Oper Leipzig are wrapped! The first broadcast will take place on 18 December 21 at 8.15 pm and will remain online until Christmas: an Advent concert by the Musikalische Komödie entitled Liebesträume und Weihnachtsklänge– Love Dreams and Christmas Sounds.  This will be followed on Christmas Day from 3pm by a recent recording of Gioacchino Rossini's Cinderella story La Cenerentola in Lindy Hume's celebrated production - with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, the enchanting mezzo-soprano Lena Belkina in the title role of Angelina and under the musical direction of Andrea Sanguineti. At the same time, two more opera productions and a ballet from Leipzig will be available online for 48 hours: Verdi's "Il trovatore", Wagner's "Lohengrin" and Mario Schröder's latest choreographic work "Solitude".  These works from the Opera House, including La Cenerentola, can additionally be seen over New Year's Eve from 3pm on 31 December to 3pm on 2 January 2022.
