(lifepr) (Röthenbach, 18.12.2015) Again the video classic can be seen on the web portal for the hearing impaired www.deafservice.de, this time in twelve different sign languages. Here, deaf show their Christmas and New Year's congratulations in different languages from England, China, Australia, Russia, France, Hungary, America, Finland, Japan, Sweden and Germany.
Brand new this year is the contribution from the Netherlands. The twelve-year-old Emily is hearing and became a celebrity from her "gesture of the day" spots.

"I am often asked in my lectures and trainings, whether sign language is international? With this video, I present the variety of this creative language and illustrate at the same time that sign language is not international. Each country has its own sign language and within countries there are still different dialects", said Judit Nothdurft, consultant for communication with hearing impaired and deaf.

The privately funded website www.deafservice.de is an important information portal for independent and barrier-free living for the hearing impaired in Germany.
