(lifepr) (Walddorfhäslach, 07.06.2021) The VW Golf has actually always been a real bestseller, and you can find it on our streets as often and in large numbers as a dime a dozen. However, this widespread use also favors the “commonness” of the popular Wolfsburg. In other words: Hardly anyone looks after a Golf - not even the eighth generation, which has been available for a year now. Perhaps the increasing tuning range for the Golf VIII will help to remedy this "deficiency". Barracuda Racing Wheels has now unveiled a refined Golf 1.5 eTSI of the new series as a joint project with the specialists from RaceChip.

The popular Tzunamee EVO rims from the Barracuda range rotate on the axles of the VW in deep concave and with a “Dark Gunmetal” finish, including partially brushed spoke fronts. They measure 8.5x19“ ET43 and are covered with 235/35R19 tires.

Meanwhile, RaceChip is responsible for increasing the performance of the standard 150 hp and 250 Nm 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine. Thanks to the GTS additional control unit, the four-cylinder now generates 192 hp and 318 Nm. RaceChip also installed the XLR module for accelerator tuning. Finally, the Golf was lowered by around 40 millimeters with the help of Eibach sport springs and received a design wrapping at Schwabenfolia
