(lifepr) (Neckartenzlingen, 15.09.2025) Large-volume eight-cylinder engines are unfortunately becoming increasingly rare thesedays–all the more so outside the US car sector. Instead, manufacturers are turning todownsizing more and more, even in designated, high-performance model versions.Mercedes was one of the companies that stuck with the naturally aspirated V8 with plenty ofdisplacement for quite a long time: in the 63 AMG models. The 6.2-litre M156 eight-cylinderfinally had to say goodbye in mid-2015 with the end of the C 63 AMG of the 204 modelseries. The saloon model presented here was customized with a set of Barracuda RacingWheels and other upgrades.

The power limousine sits on Ultralight Project 2.0 alloy wheels, which are very light thanks toproduction using the Flow Forged process. The dimensions of the wheels, which have abrushed silver finish, are 8.5x19 inches at the front and 9.5x19 inches at the rear. 225/35 and255/30 tires provide road contact.

The fact that the new combinations are quite perfectly positioned in the wheel arches isthanks to an additional lowering. The W204 owner, who carried out the entire conversion onhis own, gave his Affalterbach sports car a Variant 3 coilover kit from KW. It reduces theground clearance at the front by around 45 millimeters and at the rear by around 40millimeters. Last but not least, a Wiechers roll bar provides a slight motorsport touch in theinterior of the white notchback AMG.
