(lifepr) (Karlsruhe, 29.06.2012) The Independent Days 13|Filmfest-Call for Entries is now online. Filmmakers can submit their productions to the Karlsruhe's festival team at [Link inaktiv] (see website for production dates and other conditions). The festival low budget productions. The focus is on independent filmmakers and film students. Films should tell extraordinary stories. Some experimental elements and with creative energy is appreciated.
There are no limits regarding duration, genre or content, but the films should be independently produced. Submissions are open to short films, feature films, documentaries or music clips. The festival jury will judge the films incategories such as "content", "mise-en-scène", "extraordinary accomplishment" and "overall impression". After the review-process the festival program 2013 will be arranged.
There are two award contests: the Sparkasse Bank Karlsruhe Cultural Foundation Low-Budget Award of 1,000 Euros and the City of Karlsruhe's No-Budget-Award, "The Golden ID 2013".
The jury will categorize all entries as low or no budget status and nominate some films as award candidates accordingly. Film productions for awards consideration are to be submitted by October 31st 2012. For all other submissions, deadline is 31st December 2012.
The Independent Days 13|Filmfest will take place from April 24th to 28th 2013 in the Filmtheater Schauburg in Karlsruhe.
