The World Economic Forum today launched the Davos Debates in Latin America (http://youtube.com/davos), to coincide with the World Economic Forum on Latin America.
The Davos Debates are designed to open up the discussion about the future of the region to the wider public who is invited to share their questions and ideas about the regions most pressing challenges.
What are the challenges and opportunities for Latin America in the next 10 years? is the question we want to discuss at the upcoming meeting. YouTube users are invited to put their idea or question in video or text and submit it at http://youtube.com/Davos. Users can also vote on their favourite submissions from others.
At the World Economic Forum on Latin America to be held in Cartagena, Colombia from 6-8 April 2010, we will set up a video booth and invite presidents, dignitaries and business leaders in attendance to stop by and respond via video to the questions submitted by the YouTube users.
This is the third year that the World Economic Forum is opening its Meetings to video submissions from the general public. The videos have become an integral part of the debates at the meetings.
