The Shanghai Public Relations Association Joins the GA

(lifePR) (Lugano, Switzerland, ) The Shanghai Public Relations Association has joined The Global Alliance For Public Relations and Communication Management, becoming the ninth public relations association around the world attaining active membership in The Global Alliance in 2010.

John Paluszek, 2009-2011 Chair of the Global Alliance, in welcoming SPRA as a member, noted that, "SPRA not only brings a unique perspective to the GA mission of sharing our global profession's growing body of knowledge and advocating for the profession, but it also completes our strategic reach around the world. Our progress in China - and recently in the Mediterranean Rim, the Middle East and Latin America - complements more traditional Global Alliance strengths in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, Oceania and North America."

Daniel Tisch, GA Chair-elect, said, "It's important for the Global Alliance to be truly global, and the addition of a major public relations professional association in the world's second-largest economy is an important milestone in our history. The SPRA has endorsed the Global Protocol on Ethics in Public Relations and has a keen interest in sharing knowledge with public relations leaders from around the world."

Mao Jingquam, Chairman of SPRA, noted that, "Public relations in China is a sunrise industry which has developed rapidly in these recent years. SPRA hopes to obtain more opportunities for further exchange and cooperation with other public relations professional associations worldwide through participation in the Global Alliance."
