Polin's Fusion Waterslides debuted in France

Campsite Le Chateau Vieux in Saint Hilaire de Riez, France, was already known as a popular resort with its wide variety of activities and programs. But its popularity soared even higher last season when it introduced two new combination waterslides, one that includes the country's first Sphere waterslide. The slides opened in May 2015.    Polin Waterparks (Turkey) designed the 1,000-square-meter (10,763-square-foot) area of aquatic attractions at the five-star resort. Guests who visited the park for the new waterlides' debuts were wowed, and new guests this season are likely to have the same reaction.


A stunning experience - outside and inside

Rising above the resort's pools, the flumes of the new combination waterslide attractions - exquisite examples of Polin's engineering expertise - twist overhead with colorfully graphic exteriors that feature the waterslide company's patented Special Patterns Technology. The slides at Campsite Le Chateau Vieux are especially eye-catching, because every component sports a different design. Each also incorporates Polin's patented Natural Light Effects technology to deliver a wildly hypnotic visual experience for guests swooshing through the slides' interiors.

While the slides' exteriors may garner many positive comments, however, guests can't truly appreciate their heart-pounding allure until they experience them from the inside. That's because the new attractions combine four of Polin's most popular offerings:

* Sphere + Blackhole Combo. Guests in two-person rafts enter the sphere with a startling drop, then shoot from side to side, back and forth, before exiting via another surprising drop. Their path then takes them along the Blackhole's enclosed, undulating slide path. Like the Sphere's components, the Blackhole offers the same special effects that create a unique and dramatic visual experience for the rider.  

One important note: This is the first Sphere waterslide in France!  

While Campsite Le Chateau Vieux chose a colorful graphic option for these slides' exteriors, other facilities can choose designs that specifically match their unique themes. Parks also can choose between enclosed versions to create completely dark attractions or partly open versions. Entry options include both conveyors and towers, pool or run-out exits, and double, triple and quadruple configurations.  

* Space Hole + Aquatube. Once guests' hearts stop pounding from their ride on the Sphere + Blackhole, they can get their adrenaline pumping again by getting into the queue for the campsite's second fusion waterslide. On this option, guests' experience one of the longest speed rides available with three levels of excitement. First, they race through an enclosed tube before exiting into a huge open bowl. Centrifugal force pushes them around the bowl's interior before they end with a big splash through the ride's "hole." The ride continues along its thrilling path as guests enter the Aquatube portion. (Again, visual and auditory effects can be added at a facilities' choosing.)  

Like all of Polin's attractions, the slides at Campsite Le Chateau Vieux are constructed using Resin-Transfer Molding (RTM) composites-production technology. The ground-breaking process creates a perfectly smooth, shiny and superior quality waterslide both aesthetically and physically. Translucent options are also available.

Strong partnerships for long-term success Polin worked on the camping resort's design and construction alongside partner Edsun Loisirs, a leisure park and outdoor recreation design firm. Polin has been a proud partner with the company for nearly 10 years.  

Campsite Le Chateau Vieux is a sister campsite to two other five-star resorts owned by Sun Marina Villages Club, a family-owned business that has been welcoming tourists to its facilities on the Vendée coast since 1983.
