Hotel Berlin, Berlin will in future tell the story of the metropolis
(lifePR) (Berlin, )
Berlin is and will remain a magnet for tourists. The tourism sector is booming in the German capital like in almost no other European metropolis, which was once more especially evident at the ITB (International Tourism Fair).
So this is the right time for the traditional Berlin hotel, the Hotel Berlin, Berlin to present its new rooms. The comprehensive renovation work on the Classic wing are completed. A total of 200 new Premium rooms and 26 new conference suites will then await their visitors, all with one special common feature: Berlin's history can be experienced in them.
Five floors are divided into different decades of Berlin's history and fitted with accessories from that period and designed in that style and each one tells a different piece of Berlin's history.
The creative, modern and at the same time functional interior fittings of the new rooms were provided by designer Peter Kempf of Svensk Inredning (Sweden) and the firm of Voglauer (Austria), one of the most distinguished hotel room fitters in Europe. In the selection of materials, as usual the hotel relied on the highest quality and artisanal perfection. For the modern and also energy-saving lighting, the Swedish firm of LampGustav, who for example supplied the Dallas pendant light fitting, was engaged and the German firm of Philips supplied the LED bulbs for spots in rooms and bathrooms. The flooring comes from Object Carpet and the firm of Anker. Incomparable individual pieces, such as for instance the "floating bed" in the Berlin, Berlin Suite complement the new design of the Classic wing.
The individually customised rooms for visitors to Berlin and corporate and business partners also stand out with the latest technology in a cool design: free WiFi, 42'' TV with LED screen, rain shower and soundproof window so that guests can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing night despite being in Berlin, the city that never sleeps.
In addition there are 26 conference suites which, with a size of about 30 m² and exclusive interior design, offer a great deal of space and all the facilities required for successful business dealings and peaceful overnight stays. These too have been incorporated into the new concept and present Berlin's history up close. Up to ten people can attend a meeting in the new boardroom. Every conference suite also has a balcony which offers an additional oasis for relaxation, particularly in the summer.
Modern, unpretentious, young and with a unique ambience - hardly any other hotel in the city will in future reflect Berlin like the Hotel Berlin, Berlin in the heart of the capital.
This four-star superior hotel is one of the biggest hotels in the capital offering overnight stays and conference facilities. With over 700 ultramodern rooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, one of the few garden restaurants in the city and its own unique conference and event centre, which is unusual in many respects, the hotel continues to impress within the regional and national hotel sector, as it always has.
The hotel has twice been recognised as a Certified Business Hotel and as a Certified Conference Hotel, a certification awarded by the Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement (German Business Travel Association) every three years and which guarantees a high level of professionalism in facilities and service particularly for business travellers.
