Hotel Berlin, Berlin is celebrating its birthday to coincide with its latest all-round makeover

The traditional Hotel Berlin, Berlin is celebrating its birthday on 26th April 2012: in its 54th year since its foundation the hotel on Lützowplatz has had another complete overhaul and presents its newly refurbished and redesigned Classic Wing just in time for this great day. 200 revamped Premium Rooms and 26 new conference suites bring the history of Berlin to life thanks to their design and are also ideally equipped for doing good business in Berlin and for inspirational visits to Berlin.
Hotel Berlin, Berlin is without question one of the most historical hotels in the capital. It has been at home in City West on Lützowplatz since 1958 and has been part of the Swedish Pandox Group since June 2006. Under the new management, it has evolved into a contemporary first-class business hotel, playing in the premier league of the most modern conference hotels in Germany and is also extremely popular with tourists with a sense of style and comfort as a result of its hip designer ambiance.
26 million euro was invested in the hotel's first partial refurbishment straight after the takeover: the lobby was given a totally new look and the majority of rooms and suites were completely redesigned and equipped with state of the art technology.
The second partial refurbishment started at the end of 2011 and now perfectly completes the overall modernisation: the new Classic Wing has been successfully reopened just in time for the 4-star superior hotel's 54th birthday. From now on 200 newly refurbished and perfectly renovated Premium Rooms and 26 new conference suites await guests in this area, bringing to life the history of Berlin due to their design. As each of the five Classic Wing floors represents a different decade and thus the unique spirit of that era with their elaborate wall design and distinctive accessories. As of now guests can therefore take a little journey back in time at Hotel Berlin, Berlin - from the present back to the mid-20th century.
The Premium Rooms themselves charm with their creative, modern and at the same time functional interior design, for example there are added benefits such as a TV with 42" LED screen, spa rain shower, sound-proofed windows and free WiFi. Ideal for doing good business and for inspirational visits to Berlin. Those responsible for selecting the materials put their trust in top quality and perfect craftsmanship, as usual.
