Exhibition space sells out at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA

Asia's first fresh fruit and vegetable trade fair attracts over 100 exhibitors from all over the world for launch event next month.

(lifepr) Berlin, 24.08.2007, ASIA'S first-ever regional fresh fruit and vegetable trade fair has sold out of exhibition space more than a month before it takes place for the first time at the beginning of September in Bangkok, Thailand. ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA has allocated all the space it has available for the launch event to more than 100 exhibitors from the international fresh fruit and vegetable business in 24 different countries worldwide. The trade fair and conference event takes place on 5-7 September 2007 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in central Bangkok. "To sell out of space at our first event demonstrates the growing importance of the Asian market for fresh fruit and vegetables," said Gérald Lamusse, managing director of GPE Global Produce Events GmbH, the organiser of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA. "We already have a number of companies on our reserve list and we are doing what we can to accommodate them."

Half of all the exhibitors lined up to take part at the launch event of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA come from Asia. Among the exhibitors are national pavilions from Thailand, Japan and Taiwan as well as companies and organisations from other leading Asian fresh fruit and vegetable markets such as China, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea and Sri Lanka.

Global suppliers of fresh fruit and vegetables to Asia from the rest of the world also feature very strongly. Australia, Argentina and France are exhibiting under national pavilions while major companies from the US, New Zealand and South Africa are also taking part. Europe is also well represented, with exhibitors confirmed from France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, the UK and Germany.

Asia's first-ever fresh produce trade fair is co-located with Asiafruit Congress, Asia's leading conference event for the international fresh produce. Organised by Asiafruit Magazine, the congress has been held annually in Asia since the mid-1990s, attracting the key decision makers from companies and organisations in Asia and the rest of the world.

"Asiafruit Magazine and its editor John Hey have put together a wide-ranging programme of conference topics that will give delegates great insight into what's happening at every level of the Asian fresh fruit and vegetable business, explained Chris White, managing director of Asiafruit Magazine and moderator of the Asiafruit Congress.“Over three days the conference will look in depth at fresh produce trends in Asia, at the consumer, at the retailer and at the rest of the supply chain."

Together, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA and the Asiafruit Congress offer exhibitors, visitors and conference delegates alike a first-class opportunity to make new contacts in the Asian fresh fruit and vegetable sector, say the organisers.
