How many iPhone apps does Santa need?

Even Santa has got an iPhone, and he uses all kinds of applications to help him navigate through the winter woods / iSayHello helps him to communicate in distant lands, while others keep count of the calories he's burning on the way

After a long journey on his huge winter sleigh, Santa trudges through the deep snow with his heavy sack of gifts. Luckily for kids everywhere, he arrives safe and sound. No problem for Santa! He's got an iPhone, and can navigate easily through the winter forest. Thanks to GPS and the right navigation application, he reaches his destination right on time. On the journey, pedometers and pulse meters prevent him from overexerting himself. And he needn't worry about the return journey - thanks to the Bring Me Back app, he can return quickly to his home in the snow at any time. Before he flies off, he uses the various travel guides from Falk and Marco Polo to take in the highlights of the local cities, and takes a quick break in a cozy bar - an app has alerted him to the special prices for Christmas punch. While packing, he checks the zip code with an appropriate app to make sure his presents end up at the right address. He has no need for stamps, however - he delivers everything himself. Our Santa is in top form. With countless fitness apps and an altimeter, his muscles are rippling and ready for the heaviest Christmas sacks. But even Santa is entitled to a break, for which he keeps a few game applications on his iPhone. And so that his lunchbox isn't too calorific, he checks all the contents in advance. Communicating properly in all the countries he visits poses no problems for our Santa. Whether he's popping to Italy, Spain, Japan or even China, everything goes smoothly - he's got all the iSayHello language courses (www.isayhello.mobi/en) for the iPhone. Over 10 lessons, he has learnt the phrases he needs to get around in all his destinations. It is likely to remain a mystery, however, whether he puts the 'flirting' lesson from iSayHello to a proper test. In any case, with the iSayHello apps, and with his sack of gifts, he passes easily through customs before landing in Venice and ordering exactly the right pizza in a local restaurant.

But what will happen if Santa loses his iPhone in the deep winter snow? Will there be no presents under the Christmas tree? Will the grown-ups wait tearfully for their iPhone or iPod Touch from Apple? There's no need to fear even this nightmarish scenario. We can locate it easily, and bring it back to Santa. One can only hope that a wayward elf doesn't steal it on Christmas Eve.
