Aston-Martin-factory-driver in the LMP1-racing car at the 12 hours of Sebring in the USA

(lifePR) (Berlin/Sebring, ) Waiting is over: First race adoption coming weekend (20th /21st of March) for sports car pilot Stefan Mücke on program for the 2010 season. The Aston-Martin-factory-pilot celebrates in the closed LMP1-sportscar-prototype his premier at the traditional 12-hour-race of Sebring in the USA. Last year he was the champion in that car at the Le Mans series (LMS). The before mentioned race will e the opener for this years season of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).

"To start at this traditional race first time will be a big challenge for me. Simultaneously this is a good preparation fort he 24 hours of Le Mans", tells the 28-year-old Berlin, that is sharing the 007-cockpit with the Mexican Adrian Fernandez and the Switzerland Harold Primat. At tests end of February on the bumpy piste at Florida Stefan Mücke achieved best times on both days. "The competition at the race will be way bigger - from the Diesel- and the Benzine-camp. We will wait for what happens and where we can rank. I'd prefer a ranking near top positions of course", underlines Stefan Mücke. This year he wants to drive the whole season of the new FIA GT1 World Championship (opening middle of April at the United Arab Emirates) as well for the team Young Driver AMR (Paderborn/Copenhagen).

At test sessions on Monday and Tuesday (15th/16th of March) at Sebring the Berlin could gather useful experience for the race yet. "We sorted out a couple of things again with the car, which was adapted to regulations over wintertime. Now we hope for useful effects of that for the race", tells Stefan Mücke. "We are one step further." The race in Florida will start on Saturday 10.30 am (15.30 pm cet).
